Twins Challikavattom is an association of seven families near Vytyila. The president of the association, A N Sajeevan said that even though they collected around `27,000, an amount of `30,000 would be given for the surgery.

“We removed sun films from 72 vehicles. Some people gave us more money than what we asked for, considering the noble cause. We will hand over the sum to the Varapetti grama panchayat president at the earliest,” he said.
