HYDERABAD: As part of the Zero Tolerance policy of the state government to tackle the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme of TJAC, cases have been registered against several RTC employees and Telangana activists for staging dharnas and protests at various places.After the National Mazdoor Union called off the RTC strike following an agreement reached with the government on Monday, some members of Telangana Forum staged a protest at the Jubilee Bus Stand.The Marredpally police on Monday night registered cases against RTC NMU Telangana Forum leaders Aswadhama Reddy, Raji Reddy and three others under Sections 188 (disobedience to the order promulgated by a public servant) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.When the NMU Telangana Forum leaders were produced in court, they were released on bail.TJAC convenor M Kodandaram, who also participated in the protest, was taken into preventive custody and shifted to Bowenpally police station.Later, he was let off.About 20 Telangana activists, led by Narasimha Yadav, tried to stage a protest against the arrest of Kodandaram and others. They were taken into preventive custody by the Bowenpally police. Three cases were registered against the T activists on Monday and five on Tuesday.RTC NMU Telangana Forum leader Kareemullah and six others were booked under various sections of IPC, including Section 341 (wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) when they staged a protest at Bus Bhavan on Tuesday.RTC union leader Mohd Khaleel and five others were also booked under Sections 341 and 506 of the IPC by the Ramgopalpet police for staging a protest at the Ranigunj bus depot.A case of criminal intimidation was registered against TRS student wing leader Jagannath and three of his associates for staging a protest in the SR Nagar police station limits.
