Schumacher may never recover due to serious lapses of judgement: ex-F1 doctor
Dr. Hartstein says his 'usually impeccable sources' have told him that Schumi's care had been mismanaged.

Former chief doctor for the sport of Formula One, Dr. Gary Hatstein, believes 'serious lapses of judgement' in the medical care of Michael Schumacher may never let him recover from the brain injuries he suffered after a skiing accident on December 29 last year, which has left the F1 legend in coma since then.

Schumacher was holidaying in the French Alps when he met the unfortunate accident, leaving him in coma that has now extended to 87 days and diminishing the hopes of his fans and family waiting for his recovery at the Grenoble Hospital. But Dr. Harstein says he has information from "usually impeccable sources" that Schumacher's care had been mismanaged.

According to News.com.au, Dr. Hartstein believes the seven-time world champion's "terribly dismal prognosis" may have had led the doctors at the Grenoble Hospital discouraging his family to transfer him to a facility specialising in dealing with cases of long-term comas.

Those lapses, says Dr. Hartstein, "could, and almost certainly did, worsen the outcome in the F1 legend's case".
