CHENNAI: Home appliance dealer, S-Mart announced its foray into security business by entering into partnership with Micro Technologies at a press conference here on Monday. “Our expansion plans are aimed at providing an end-to-end premises security solutions for its clients,” said, S Muthuraj, MD, S-Mart.S-Mart has been in the electronic business for nearly ten years now. They will now be promoting the state-of-the-art security solutions of Micro Technologies as business partner for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It is a brand having retail presence with over 150 dealers and 35 distributors in and around Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Through this expansion, S-Mart would take up the distributorship of select premises security products of Micro Technologies.“The agreement would be executed through Micro retail Limited, a subsidiary of Micro Technologies, said, Aditya, CSO, Micro Technologies. Our job is to provide security to people’s assets and also we are trying to make them aware of the various security issues, added Aditya.Micro Technologies is a leading global developer, manufacturer and marketer of IT based security solutions for it clients across the globe. Their products range from the much needed security devices, life support systems and web-software. Micro Technologies also aims at displaying the product diversity in various segments of vehicle, premises, mobile and other assets. Moreover, the security solutions start from just `99.While the global market for security business is 8 billion dollars, the turnover of the company this year has been `400 crores. We have tie-ups with telecom providers namely Airtel, Aircel, BSNL and MSNL and export products to Israel and Japan which are two of the largest markets for security business, we also has service centres in every zone, he pointed out.
