Snag halts production at KTPP

WARANGAL: Production of power at Kakatiya thermal power project (KTPP), which had been stalled due to the Sakala Janula Samme, had not begun yet even after the strike.The authorities had decided to resume power production on Oct 28, but could not owing to a technical snag in the filter of the turbine.Efforts are on to rectify the problem. At present, there is 1.5 lakh tonnes of coal- sufficient for production of power- in the project. About 9,000 tonnes of coal is being supplied from Godavarikhani and Bhupalpalli everyday.
