Solatium to drowned fishermans father

RAMANATHAPURAM: Leaders of a fishermen’s association and fishermen on Monday offered a solatium of Rs 1 lakh to the father of Antony Jermion, who died after drowning off Rameswaram. Association leader Bose said Jermion of Pamban had gone fishing with some men on June 19 when he slipped, fell into the water and drowned. In order to help his family, the association and other fishermen had pooled in money and presented the amount to the victim’s father.
