New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday condemned the terror attack on a newspaper office in Paris and said extremism and intolerance will never be able to curb freedom of expression.

"Congress President Sonia Gandhi has condemned the cowardly and dastardly terror attack on media in Paris. Shocked at the audacity of the gruesome act..."

"Extremism and intolerance will never be able to curb freedom of expression and will only result in perpetuation of violence," Gandhi said in a statement.

Heavily armed gunmen shouting Islamist slogans stormed a Paris satirical newspaper office and shot dead at least 12 people in the deadliest attack in France in four decades.
