State-level astrologers conference held

BANGALORE: “If a person becomes a super power then the nation will also become a super power. So everybody should do good things in their life. Only then will former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam’s dream to see India as a super power  be fulfilled,” said astrologer Arulalan.Speaking after inaugurating the state level astrologers conference organised by Subhasri Jyothishyalaya in Bangalore, he said that it is wrong that only those people who believe in God believe in  astrology. And today everybody believes in astrology,  and the reason behind this is that astrology is not only a science but the science of all science. Arulalan noted that those who know how to tide over unworthy qualities like laziness, anger and sleep do not need astrology, but today people have unfortunately become slaves of all these three qualities, and to come out of these things, astrologers are most  definitely required.“During the ancient times there were Gurukuls and people were taught how to gain confidence in such an educational setup. But today in school except for what’s in the syllabus, teachers don’t teach anything. But we teach all these things in astrology. We teach people how to take care of their health, get over anger and lead a happy life.Dr Kavitha Krishna who attended the conference said, “Astrology is one beautiful science. First it was a very individual subject. After  modernisation, it’s popularity spread and it took roots in the larger mainstream society. She added, “If astrology and astrologers’ conferences are held more often at the national and international levels, then the subject will become more accepted and popular in today’s society. And this way, India will gain more importance in the world.”Said Keerthi Shilpa Ramu,  president of Subhasri Jyothishyalaya, “Some astrologers who come on television have made astrology a commercial venture. Unfortunately this gives out a false message to the people and that is a very wrong practice. Conducting such conferences will enable people to become more aware of what’s happening.” Subhasri awards were presented on the occasion and astrologers from all over Karnataka were present on the occasion.
