New Delhi: Students who have applied for the courses under FYUP of Delhi University through centralised registration will not have to fill the form again for admission under the three-year course instead they can directly apply from colleges, a committee of principals proposed on Saturday.
The 12-member committee of principals, formed by DU VC Dinesh Singh, to look after admission process has proposed that students who had applied under FYUP can apply from colleges under 2012-2013 course pattern and don't need to fill up centralised form under new three-year under graduate course. Besides, committee has also proposed that Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), which was created by merging BBE, BBS and BFIA courses, will be again be split into the three courses.
"Under new system, students can apply for BBE, BBS and BFIA separately, instead of applying for one BMS, which was made by merging these three courses under FYUP," said a committee member. He also said that students, who sat on entrance test for admission to BMS on June 26, will now be allotted seats in BBE, BBS and BFIA courses separately.
The committee has also said that if student's number comes under first cut-off, they can directly apply for their interested courses in colleges. BA and BCom programs, which had been scrapped under FYUP in 2013, will be restored and students can apply afresh for these two courses.
