Telangana stir hits passengers

GULBRGA: The people of Hyderabad-Karnataka region have faced the heat of the Telangana movement as most of the mode of transport for going to Hyderabad and other places in Telangana region were closed on Sunday. All the trains to Hyderabad, the train services from Hyderabad to Mumbai and other places via Gulbarga were cancelled on Sunday and Monday to prevent untoward incidents on the passengers.  The passengers to Hyderabad from Gulbarga are completely dependant on the train services as the bus services from Northeast Road Transport Corporation and Northwest Road Transport Corporation had been stopped for a week. The people of Gulbarga and Bidar are depending on Hyderabad for even petty business as it is the nearest major city. According to the KSRTC sources, 173 buses of NEKRTC and NWKRTC have been cancelled and the loss sustained to KSRTC is said to be nearly `1 crore.
