HYDERABAD: Time is said to be eternal. It has neither any beginning nor any end. It just flows on. Yet, man has divided it into periods according to his convenience i.e., seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years and so on. It means, what was yesterday is not today, what is today is not tomorrow. Entire creation works on behalf of time. According to time people give birth, they grow and at last meet death. Everything is fixed to a particular time-frame.Time is a free force. It doesn’t stop for anyone. After all the saying goes, “Time and tide wait for none”. A minute not usefully spent is an eternal loss. Once time is wasted, it can’t be regained, let alone usefully spent. One has to strike the iron when it is hot. The right time to do anything is now. Wasting time isn’t the smart thing to do, for you will never get it back. It is said that time heals the wounds better than reasons. All human beings are emotional. When negative emotions like fear, anger, and jealousy overtake them, they forget to act with mind and instead say reasons, and if reasons do not work they act in haste leading to severe consequences. Once time is wasted, they repent for the loss. People overcoming everything and beginning a new life with better hard work, more effort, time- management will success in their life. Time is said to be wise counselor. Passage of time allows an individual to grow. This growth will give experience. Experience will help in decision making which will in turn help in building up a good character. Time reminds us to act wisely and use it preciously. All wise people make the use of time fruitfully in a meaningful manner. It is said that the wisest grieve the most at the loss of time. Those who do not make fruitful use of time will kill the time by wasting it. There is a proverb saying, “Killing time is not a murder, it’s a suicide”. This means, anyone who wastes time doesn’t harm anyone else but himself. I hear many people saying I don’t have sufficient time for completing so-and-so task. I feel this is not correct. If one wisely plans his work in accordance with the time he has, he will complete his work with plenty of time left. Time management plays a major role in one’s life. It is necessary and powerful skill. One cannot go ahead of time or behind. He has to act according to time to make space for him in the fast flowing world. For example- if you are not on time in the station and miss the train, you miss it forever. With this article I want to bring the importance of time because if not used properly then you have no space in society. The key to success is to get your watch set right, follow the seconds hand to the dot and plan ahead. However, the importance of it can only be realised when one loses time.Tanzeel Ahmed is a IX standard student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket school
