TNPSC Recruitment 2018 for Laboratory Assistant notification has been released on the official website of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) – tnpsc.gov.in. The Tamil Nadu Forensic Science Subordinate Service aims to recruit 56 candidates for the post of Lab Assistant in the Forensic Science department. Candidates interested in pursuing their career with the government’s Forensic Science department must apply for the job from Monday, 29th January, before 21st February 2018, by following the instructions given below:

Step 2 – Click on the ‘Latest Notification’ hyperlink under ‘Notifications’ tab
Step 3 – Click on ‘Apply Online’ hyperlink in front of ‘LABORATORY ASSISTANT IN FORENSIC SCIENCE DEPARTMENT’
Step 4 – Complete the One Time Registration and then login with your credentials and complete the application process
Step 5 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference

Pay Scale:
The selected candidates will be placed at Level 8 with a pay scale of ₹19,500/- to ₹62,000/- per month.
Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected through a written examination scheduled to be conducted on 6th May 2018, from 10AM to 1PM. ‘Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination, the tentative list of eligible candidates for certificate verification will be announced in the Commission's website. After verification of the original certificates, the eligible candidates will be summoned for counselling following rule of reservation of appointments.’ stated the official notification. The written examination will be organized at exam centers in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichirapalli, Tirunelveli, Salem, Thanjavur and Chidambaram.
Academic Qualification:
1. The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or Class 12th with Science subjects viz Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology
2. The candidate must be proficient in Tamil language.

Exam Pattern:
The qualifying written exam will be an MCQ based test carrying 300 total marks. Candidates need to score minimum 90 marks to qualify for the subsequent selection process.
Age-Limit:
Candidates must fall in the age bracket of 18 to 30 years, age-relaxation benefits apply as per State Government’s rules.
