Tourist bus kills mother, son injured

BANGALORE: A 45-year-old woman was killed on the spot and her son sustained injuries after a speeding bus hit the bike borne mother-son duo. The incident was reported in Malleswaram traffic police station limits, on Tuesday night.The deceased Nagalakshmi, and her son Balakrishna (27), had gone to their relative’s house in Goripalya and they were returning home when the incident took place. Near K V Junction, a speeding tourist bus hit the bike from behind and the duo fell from their bike. The right side rear wheel of the bus ran over Nagalakshmi killing her on the spot while Balakrishna escaped with minor injuries. Fearing public wrath, the bus driver abandoned the bus and fled from the scene. Police are on the look out.
