BANGALORE: The Central trade unions have planned to hold a demonstration and Jail Bharo programme on November 8 at Mysore Bank Circle protesting against anti-labour policies of the State and Union.S Prasannakumar of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and H V Rai of All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) told media persons on Thursday that the decision to hold agitation was decided at the trade unions’ convention held in New Delhi recently. Their demands include checking the increasing prices of essential commodities, job security, implementation of labour laws and pension for all workers. They are also protesting against disinvestment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).They said the All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU) is organising its 8th national conference from November 11 to 13 at Shankar Guha Niyogi Nagar, Bhilai, Chattisgarh. On November 11, the open session will be addressed by delegates from Philippines, France and Japan are also attending the convention. The purpose of this convention was to make middle class assertive.
