WARANGAL: Robbers sprinkled chilli powder into the eyes of Chanda Prabhakar Rao, a trader, and decamped with Rs 8.72 lakh he was carrying at Krishna Colony in the city on Monday.
In the morning, Rao was on his way to the bus station to go to Hyderabad when two unidentified persons came on a two-wheeler and diverted his attention saying that his belongings fell on the road.Soon as Rao turned around to see what it was, the duo sprinkled chilli powder on his face, snatched the bag and sped away. Rao lodged a complaint with the Intezargunj police.

Warangal DSP Lavanya Jadav visited the place where the robbery occurred. She said that a case was registered and that investigation was on.
