HOSUR: Three persons, including two women, were found murdered in a house in a village near Hosur on Thursday, sending shock waves among the public.The dead were identified as Muneeramma (70), her son Lokesh (40) and daughter Kamalamma (30) of Muniboyanathotti village in Denkanikotta taluk, police said.Police suspect that those involved in the crime would have tried to rape Kamalamma and murdered the others when they tried save her. The heads of all three were smashed with boulders, while Kamalamma’s body bore multiple injuries.The incident came to light when neighbours alerted the police.On information, Krishnagiri Superintendent of Police V Kannan, Hosur Assistant Superintendent of Police Ramya Barathi and Denkanikotta Deputy Superintendent of Police Suhasini rushed to the spot.Fingerprint experts were summoned and sniffer dogs from Krishnagiri were pressed into service.The sniffer dogs, which picked up scent, ran for a few kilometres till the outskirts of the village and stopped. Police suspect the hand of a gang behind the murders. They have also not ruled out the possibility of the involvement of psycho killers in the incident. A special team has been formed to nab the culprits.According to sources, Muneeramma, who was deserted by her husband Dandamarappa, was living with her son and daughter in Muniboyanathotti. Their house is in a remote area in the village.Meanwhile, in another incident, the body of a 30-year-old man, identified as Ramesh, a private labour contractor, was found with the throat slit, at Mathigiri road junction. Passersby alerted the Mathigiri police, who rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to the Hosur Government Hospital for postmortem.
