Two held for car theft

KOCHI: The Kochi Central Police on Saturday arrested Rijo Antony and Vishnu in a case of car theft. The arrested along with 4 others had reportedly hired the vehicle, driven by Aneesh, on December 4. They later manhandled and detained him. Aneesh somehow managed to escape two days later and alerted the police.A special investigation team was constituted to nab the culprits, comprising CI Suneesh Babu, SI Ananthalal, SI K V Mohandas, Sr CPO Jacob, Sr CPO Mathai, CPO Dileep and CPO Shaji, headed by ACP Sunil Jacob. City Police Commissioner M R Ajithkumar and Deputy Commissioner Gopalakrishna Pillai laid out the instructions. The arrested have been remanded by the court. The police have issued a look-out notice on the other culprits- Vivek, Reeja Mol, Afsal and Nithin.
