New Delhi: It's always easy to fall in love with someone at the very first sight, but it's always difficult to forget your prime ambition for that love. Ambitions carve destiny, and ultimately the fate.
This month's release 'U R My Jaan' has the same central idea. Unique circumstances bring Reena and Akash closer to each other despite all the dissimilarities in their personalities.
Reena is a middle class girl from Chandigarh, who wants to make it big in films. She encounters Akash, a sophisticated businessman well known for his callous business tactics.
They fall in love as expected but the drama starts afterwards. Reena and Akash start to influence each other's life and begin to interchange their stands on different matters. Their relationship gets into problematic mode due to the opinion clashes.
Primarily a relationship drama, 'U R My Jaan' is introducing Mikaal Zulfikaar as the suave business magnate Akash and Priti Soni as chirpy Reena.
The film is directed by Aron Govil, Chairman of US based Ducon Industries, a multi million conglomerate. Incidentally, Govil also happens to be the writer and producer of the film.
Aron Govil is not new to filmmaking. He was the producer of 2007 crime drama 'Shoot on Sight', which was directed by the late Jag Mundhra. 'Shoot on Sight' had Naseeruddin Shah and Greta Scacchi in the lead roles.
His filmography also includes 'Care of Footpath', directed by S.S.Kishan. 'Care of Footpath' deals with the life story of an orphan boy brought up by a kind lady.
The film depicts the life changing story of the small boy who takes up the challenge to educate himself and succeeds.
However, both the films did not do much well at the commercial level in spite of good production values.
Arun Govil knows the hero of the film Mikaal from the sets of 'Shoot and Sight', and the heroine Priti has also worked for his company in the past.
Thus, he did not waste time after getting a promising team to work with.
The music of 'U R My Jaan' by Sanjeev-Darshan is already released and catching up slowly with the audiences. Sanjeev-Darshan have given the melodious music in films such as 'Mann', 'Parwana' and 'Xcuse Me' in the past.
Its fan page on Facebook has already crossed 110,000 likes and the promos are doing rounds on TV.
Hopefully, the film will make enough buzz before its scheduled release on September 23.
