Unidentified men kill 40-year-old man over alleged illicit relationship, set his house on fire

A 40-year-old man was brutally killed and his hut set on fire by some unidentified persons today, police said here.

According to the complaint filed by the victim's family, Gyan Singh was sleeping inside a hut in his fields when some unidentified persons attacked him with sharp weapons this morning.

The accused after killing Singh set his hut on fire, police said.

The victim's alleged illicit relationship is being suspected as the motive behind the murder, police said, adding that a probe is on in the matter.
