Vaiko warns of blocking supplies

CHENNAI: MDMK chief Vaiko, on Sunday, warned Kerala that his party will resort to a permanent blockade of vehicles supplying essential commodities to that State. In a statement, Vaiko said that determination of the neighbouring State and its parties to demolish Tamil Nadu’s rightful John Pennycuick-built Mullaiperiyar Dam is disturbing. Recalling the instance of Congress cadre’s bid to destroy the shutters of the dam, Vaiko termed the action ‘atrocious’. Vaiko called on the farmers and people from all quarters to support the road block planned for December 21 to warn the Kerala government.
