Islamabad: In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN in Islamabad, the Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf said that he was not disappointed over the outcome of the visit of President George Bush.
When it was pointed out to him that there was a sense of disappointment among Pakistani public about what was not achieved from the Bush visit given the sort of announcements he made in India, General Musharraf said that he was not concerned about what Bush did in India.
"As far as his achievements with India are concerned, we know that they are in the nuclear strategic relationship and we know against whom it is directed. We also know it has certain implications of opening out the nuclear establishment. Pakistan has no such desire of opening out. "
"We don't have any such desire of nuclear cooperation. What is my problem? That is what the public, I think, now know. They understand that our interest is only nuclear energy and that is what I have spoken of in my talks with President Bush," Musharraf said.
