Western Odisha neglected: Congress

BHUBANESWAR: Congress member Naba Kishore Das criticised the State Government in the Assembly for ignoring the demands of the people of Western Odisha. Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, Das observed that Maoists had spread their wings in the region because of continued neglect.Though the report of Justice SK Mohanty Committee on regional imbalance is with the State Government, it has not acted on it, he said and wanted it to be tabled in the House.Das referred to the delay in opening the bench of the Odisha High Court in Western Odisha.The Government is not taking a decision on the matter though there are agitations for it. He demanded a decision  at the earliest on the headquarters of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC).
