If you are planning a trip to the state of Karnataka, then do not miss the opportunity to visit the Dudhsagar Falls. Local18 reports that the scenic waterfall flows from the Western Ghats, located between Karnataka and Goa.
The Dudhsagar Falls is a place that would make anyone compel to take a visit, as one will be able to witness one of the most majestic marvels of nature. According to Local18, the waterfall is a confluence between the regions of Belagavi, Goa and Uttar Kannada. Not only the falls but its surroundings as well are a sight to behold.
No vehicle can reach the place except the train. So, one side of the British-era railway bridge boasts a breathtaking view of the white waterfall, flowing like milk. While on the opposite side of the bridge, the visitors can gaze upon snow-covered green forests, making it a literal paradise on earth.
The name of the falls Dudhsagar is inspired from its view, which seems to give an image of flowing milk, since Doodh means milk in the Hindi language. Standing close to the old railway bridge and looking up at the fall it feels like a river of milk is flowing from the sky above, states Local 18.
How to Reach the Place?
The safest way to visit the falls is through the railway line. To reach Dudhsagar Falls, you have to take board the train from Belagavi to the Castle Rock route, at 10:30 am. And by 5 pm, you can board the Nizamuddin Express, returning from the same route.
Furthermore, if you board a train from the Vasco-Goa route and stop at Londa, you will be able to find a road to the Dudhsagar Falls. Then, you can board a train to Castle Rock and start your journey to the magical place.
