CHENNAI: K Rosaiah, who has been appointed Governor of Tamil Nadu has said he would not have any tussle with Chief Minister Jayalalithaa or anybody else during his tenure in the state.“I know her. I had a chance to meet her when she was Chief Minister. She knows Telugu very well. And when we meet she used to talk to us in Telugu which I appreciate,” Rosaiah, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh told Tamil news channel Pudhiya Thalaimurai in Hyderabad. “I’m sure I don’t have any tussle with Jayalalithaa or any other gentleman there. I would like to take the co-operation of one and all and move forward,” he said. The Congress old timer said that the post of the Governor was a new assignment for him. During the past 60 years of his political career, he had been a partyman. “I have been working for the development of the party, state and people. Now I have to play an altogether different role. The role of a Governor as I’ve understood so far is to govern the constitutional provisions, to advise the government in a proper way. I don’t have a role to play in politics any further,” Rosaiah said.
