Two minor Dalit girls were allegedly raped and killed in separate incidents in Haryana recently, barely a month after a similar case involving a six-year-old girl shook the state.

Judge R R Vaishnav sentenced the six to death and also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 each on them for killing the Dalit youths, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told reporters.

The unique condition was brought in after the woman's lawyer emphasised the space social media occupies in an individual's life and said that the warring couple already had complaints registered against each other for posting photographs on websites.

Harish Salve had received a phone call on his office landline and was allegedly threatened for speaking in favour of the film, the police said.
