Assembly constituency no.79 Dholpur (Dhaulpur) (धौलपुर in Hindi), is an Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) seat in the Matsya region and Dholpur district, of the state of Rajasthan, which is in the North West region of India (Bharat). In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Shobharani Kushwah of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Shiv Charan Singh Kushawah of INC by a margin of 19,360 which was 13.16% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.79% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, B L Kushwah of BSP emerged victorious in this seat beating Banwari Lal Sharma of INC by a margin of 9,209 votes which was 6.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 37.86% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Abdul Sageer Khan of BJP won this seat beating Ashok Sharma of INC by a margin of 1,554 votes which was 1.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 28.91% in the seat.
