In 2013, Surendra Goyal of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dilip Choudhary of INC by a margin of 34,874 votes which was 20.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.72% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Dilip Choudhary of IND won this seat beating Surendra Goyal of BJP by a margin of 6,668 votes which was 4.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 31.31% in the seat.
