After a successful stint as a video jockey, Aditya Roy Kapur made his way to Bollywood. He earned success after he starred in Aashiqui 2. However, after this, his movies started tanking at the box office. In a recent interview, he opened up about this phase where he saw back-to-back flops. He called it a ‘vulnerable’ moment in his life.
In a conversation with Kareena Kapoor on her chat show – What Women Want, Aditya Roy Kapur talked about how he dealt with the back-to-back flop films. He mentioned that while his films weren’t working at the box office, he also did not like the offers that were presented to him. The actor said, “There have been vulnerable moments, like films not working or when one hasn’t had work. A few films didn’t do well, and I didn’t like anything (that was being offered), maybe because I was vulnerable at that point in time.”

Talking about this low point in his life, Kapur revealed that he did not take up work as well. He added, “It was a tough period where I wasn’t liking anything and not working for a while.” He mentioned that he was supported by his friends and family while he was going through this phase. He also spoke about how the outcome of a film impacted an actor because they invested a significant amount of time in the film.
After starring in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Kapur starred in Dawat-e-Ishq and Fitoor. These films failed to resonate with the audience. He saw success with Ok Jaanu once again. He was recently seen in Gumraah which didn’t work well. Apart from that, he starred in Disney+ Hotstar’s The Night Manager which recently got nominated for the International Emmys.
The actor is currently filming for Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino.
