Bigg Boss 18 is off to an intense start, with the first nominations for eviction announced in the fourth episode aired on October 9. Hosted by Salman Khan, the show kicked off on October 6, and viewers are already glued to the drama unfolding inside the house. This season has introduced a diverse group of celebrities, and the first week’s nominations set the tone for the tension ahead.
Bigg Boss surprised the housemates with an open nomination process. Contestants were asked to shoot arrows at the photos of those they wanted to nominate for eviction. The rule was simple: three or more valid reasons for nomination would put a contestant at risk. After the process concluded, five contestants were nominated for eviction in the first week: Karan Veer Mehra, Chaahat Pandey, Gunaratan Sadavarte, Avinash Mishra and Muskan Bamne.
Karan Veer Mehra, a popular television actor, and Chaahat Pandey, known for her roles in Indian soaps, seemed to have rubbed a few housemates the wrong way, landing them in the nomination zone. Gunaratan Sadavarte, a lawyer and social activist, Avinash Mishra, another well-known TV star, and Muskan Bamne, also face the same fate after their fellow contestants pointed out issues ranging from lack of communication to clashes in opinion.
The audience now has the power to save their favorite contestants by voting on the JioCinema app. Voting lines are open, and the results will be revealed during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, where one contestant will have to leave the house based on the audience’s vote. It will be interesting to see who survives and who becomes the first contestant to bid farewell to the house.
Other celebrities locked inside the Bigg Boss 18 house include Vivian Dsena, Shehzada Dhami, Eisha Singh, Rajat Dalal, Shilpa Shirodkar, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, Shrutika Arjun, Alice Kaushik, Chum Darang, Nyra Banerjee, Hema Sharma, and Arfeen Khan with his wife, Sara Arfeen Khan. The show airs on Colors TV weekdays at 10 p.m. and weekends at 9:30 p.m., with episodes also streaming on JioCinema. Fans can catch all the live action 24×7 on the platform as well.
The excitement is just beginning, and the first eviction will set the stage for many more surprises.
