Season 8 of Bigg Boss Tamil commenced this week, already giving big shockers to the audience in the form of first-day elimination. This time, the theme of the show is Men vs Women; the two teams are assigned their own respective spaces. However, the presence of Ravindar Chandrasekaran has been a point of controversy for the boys, some believing he is a “setback” for the group.
In one of the first tasks of captaincy for the season, Ravindar experienced a severe injury during the activity. He reportedly suffered a leg injury while attempting to run during the task, and was later seen in immense pain and having difficulties in walking.
Post the task, a nomination round was held where the producer received the highest votes for a nomination. Interestingly, many of the contestants naming Ravindar for the nomination had cited the issue of his health as the basis for it. Actor Arun Prasad believed that the producer was unable to do a task and was becoming a “setback” for the men’s team. Furthermore, the other nominated contestants include Jacquline Lydia, Arun Prasad, Muthukumaran Jegatheesan, Soundariya Nanjundan and Ranjith.
If more reports are to be believed, the team Bigg Boss has created a special chair for Ravindar to support his weight. While there are rumours the producer might walk out of the show in the first week due to his injury.
In an earlier interview, the producer revealed that he was approached to be a part of Bigg Boss Tamil season 6. Everything was in its final stages, while the makers had even made arrangements for him according to his weight. But he decided to decline the invitation at the last moment, the reports added.
The eighth season of Bigg Boss Tamil is being hosted by Vijay Sethupathi and had its premiere on October 6. The reality show regularly airs on the Star Vijay channel while it can also be streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar.
