Dharmendra Urges Vinesh Phogat To Be 'Healthy and Strong' After Hema Malini's '100 gm Matters a Lot' Comment

Dharmendra has penned down a heartwarming note for Vinesh Phogat after her Paris Olympics 2024 finals disqualification. Recently, the veteran actor took to his Instagram handle, shared a picture of Phogat and called her a “brave, adventurous daughter of the soil.” He mentioned that he was “sad” to hear about her disqualification but urged her to be “healthy and strong”.

“Darling daughter Vinesh, we are extremely sad to hear the news. You are a brave adventurous daughter of the soil. we love you and always pray for your health and happiness. Be happy healthy and strong for your family and your loving people ,” the actor wrote.

Interestingly, this comes a day after Hema Malini also reacted to Phogat’s disqualification and told her that 100 gms also matters a lot. “It is very surprising and bada ajeeb sa bhi lagta hain ki 100 gm ki wajah se woh disqualify ho gayi. Kitna mehatwa hain apna weight aur wazan ko theek se rakhna! Hum sab ko isse ek achha seekh milna chahiye sab kalakaro ko, mahilayon ko sabko… ki 100 gm also matters a lot! We feel very sad for her. I wish she loses that 100 grams quickly lekin milega nahi abhi (It is very surprising, and it feels strange that she was disqualified for being 100 gm overweight. It is important to keep the weight in check. It is a lesson for all of us. I wish she loses that 100 gm quickly but she would not get an opportunity),” she told PTI.

Meanwhile, several other Indian actors including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Farhan Akhtar, and Taapsee Pannu also expressed their support for Vinesh Phogat after her disqualification at the Paris Olympics.

Recently, Alia Bhatt also called Vinesh an “inspiration to the entire nation” and wrote, “Nothing can take away your resilience, nothing can take away your courage and nothing can take away the hardships you’ve been through to create history! Today you must be heartbroken to say the least and we are heartbroken with you. But woman you are gold- you are iron and you are steel! Nothing can take that away from you! A champion for the ages! There is no one like you.”
