Anchor-turned-actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is one of the most popular names in South cinema. She is known for her enthusiastic personality. Like some of the most influential personalities in the world, Anasuya had humble beginnings. She started from nothing. Anasuya Bharadwaj gained unprecedented fame through her appearance on the superhit Telugu show, Jabardasth. To reach such heights, she had to start from scratch. As per reports, the actress worked in the 2003 film Naaga for the very first time as an extra. For this N T Rama Rao Jr-starrer, she was paid an amount of Rs 500 for her role. She was seen in the role of a college student in the film, which is directed by D K Suresh. A M Rathnam is its producer, as well as screenplay writer.
Anasuya Bharadwaj started her career in the industry as a new presenter for the Sakshi TV Channel. Then she started working as an anchor on Maa Music. In 2013, she appeared as a host for the superhit comedy show, Jabardasth, which proved to be her career breakthrough. She appeared on the show for the following nine years, only quitting it in 2022.
Anasuya made her debut as an actress with the film Kshanam, released in 2016. It is directed by Ravikanth Perepu and stars Adivi Sesh, Adah Sharma and Vennela Kishore. The release was followed by numerous releases like Winner, Gayathri, Rangasthalam, Pushpa: The Rise, Bheeshma Parvam and more.
She was last seen in the film Razakar, a historical drama film released last month, on March 15. Yata Satyanarayana directed and wrote the film, while Gudur Narayana Reddy produced the film under the banner of Samarveer Creations LLP. It stars Bobby Simha, Tej Sapru, and Makarand Deshpande in important roles.
Anasuya is set to reprise the role of Dakshayani in Pushpa sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rise, slated to release on August 15. Her upcoming work also includes the Tamil film, Flashback.
