Rumours of problems in their relationship had been doing the rounds for a while. Now, it’s official that actor-couple Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia have split. They met on Bigg Boss 14 and were together for two years. They broke up five months ago due to compatibility issues but kept sharing an apartment. Last month, Eijaz moved out, but Pavitra still lives there.
Confirming the breakup, Pavitra told ETimes, “There is a shelf-life for everything, nothing is permanent. In relationships, too, there can be a shelf-life. Eijaz and I parted ways a few months ago and I will always wish him well. I respect him a lot, but the relationship did not last.” When the entertainment portal reached out to Eijaz, he said, “I hope Pavitra finds the love and success she deserves. She will always be a part of my duas.”
Pavitra and Eijaz met inside the Bigg Boss 14 house and fell in love with each other. In May last year, Eijaz opened up about his marriage plans with Pavitra when he exclusively told News18 Showsha, “It is on the card. Where is the time? Gathering the whole family from all over the world, taking time for them and us. I want it to be if not such a grand affair but I want it to be a celebration. She says what’s the point we never gonna get time, let’s just get it done. But I feel I want my family and close friends to be there. So we will find a medium. We will figure it out very soon.”
Back in December, Pavitra had told ETimes, “I really feel for my fans and I am connected with them. I really request everyone to be calm and composed and give us privacy. Please support me in whatever I am doing and support Eijaz also and let peace be there. Whatever happens, it happens for a reason. I am really keen and focused towards my career right now. I’ve just lost my father, he was my biggest support.”
