Hansal Mehta Claims Daughter Faces 'Harassment' at Aadhar Office: 'Manager Keeps Sending...'

Director Hansal Mehta’s daughter is struggling to get her Aadhar Card. The filmmaker took to X and revealed she has been visiting the Aadhar Card office in Mumbai frequently in the hope of completing the process but keeps getting sent back by the senior manager due to some reason or the other. The filmmaker said this has been going on for three weeks now and dubbed it ‘harassment.’

“My daughter has been trying to apply for an Aadhar card since past 3 weeks. She makes the long trek to the Aadhar office in Andheri East braving rains, going early enough and the senior manager there keeps sending her back on some pretext or the other. Get this signed, get this document, the stamp is not in the correct place, you dont have an appointment today, I am on leave for a week… This is most frustrating and nothing short of harassment,” Hansal said.

He also tagged the Office of CEO UIDAI and UIDAI handles on X. The UIDAI handle replied with an automated message. “Dear Aadhaar Number Holder, Kindly share the complete address of the Aadhaar Centre where you are facing this issue along with your contact details via direct message and we will help you further,” the post read. Hansal confirmed he has DMed them.

Hansal has two daughters with wife Safeena Husain, Kimaya and Rehana. He also has two sons, Jai and Pallava, from his first marriage. Jai recently made his debut as a filmmaker. He was a co-director of Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and helmed two episodes of Lootere.
