'His Money Won't Get Him Benefits': Ex-Prisoner On Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Life Behind The Bars
The music mogul has been arrested amid serious charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, fraud or coercion and prostitution.

Once a superstar musician and entrepreneur, now dogged by charges of sexual abuse and sex trafficking, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has recently stirred controversy following his ongoing federal criminal case. With every new detail coming up, the Diddy saga has just got even wilder. While the rapper remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Centre, Brooklyn, awaiting his trial, it seems like his influence and money mean nothing inside as he isn’t getting any VIP treatment in the jail, revealed a former inmate.

Married at First Sight star Timothy Smith, who previously served in a US federal prison in a drug trafficking case, spoke to Daily Mail Australia and said. “He won’t be getting any special treatment. His money and wealth won’t get him any benefits.”

Reflecting on his own experience, the former TV reality star explained that the federal prison system is “very limited” and that even the “rich don’t get extra privileges,” further noting that Diddy most likely does not even “have access to other inmates.” “You’re allowed a few basics, like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary, but that’s about it. They do raids, and if you try to stockpile, they take everything,” he continued.

Stating that people might think there are TVs and radios inside the jail, he explained that there is absolutely nothing. Prisoners might get a Bible and one book per week. Meanwhile, the hip-hop mogul will be given 300 minutes of phone time every month. “So if you’re on the phone for 30 minutes a day, after 10 days, you get no more phone for the next 20 days. Sometimes you run out of minutes within the first week, and then you’re just left talking to yourself,” he added.

Developments In Sean Diddy Combs’ Case

In the latest turn of events, Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, has publicly come out to defend her son. In a statement, she said, “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth but for a narrative created out of lies.” She also reflected on the claims by the rapper’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and added, “I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have. My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise.”

For those unaware, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, fraud or coercion and prostitution. While the Bad Boy Records founder continues to plead not guilty, he can face a minimum of 15 years in prison if convicted.
