New Delhi: Diljit Dosanjh, the face of Punjabi cinema, isn't just popular for his acting prowess. The exceptionally good-looking star has also earned huge plaudits for his singing potential. Busy promoting his film 'Sardaarji', Diljit visited IBNLive office and spoke to us about his association with Honey Singh, his experience in Bollywood and why he has never felt the need to promote his work by hiring a manager, publicist.

While discussing the thought that goes into preparing each of his videos, Diljit told IBNlive.com that he came to Noida in 2009 to work with Honey Singh. “When I visited Honey's place to discuss the project, I also got to meet Baadshah. I’ve always seen them together, until recent times. They’ve worked with me together as a team and I have enjoyed their company."

He further added that seeing Honey and Baadshah create a niche for themselves and for budding Punjabi singers in Bollywood makes him feel proud. He says, "I am very happy for their success. They deserve the fame they have earned. Both of them are extremely talented."

According to Diljit, singing and acting both have become his first love and he can’t really distinguish as to which field he enjoys the most. The superstar of Punjabi cinema has won the hearts of millions around the world with his multi-talented personality and now is ready to enter to dream-world of Bollywood alongside Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’.

On being asked about his opinion on his Bollywood debut, he said, “Bollywood bahu jaldi ho gaya mere liye. It has been just 4 years since my first film released in Punjab and I already have a good role in 'Udta Punjab’, a film of a leading production house. I've never had a manager or PR team in Bollywood. I believe my work is my PR and I'm fortunate enough to say that."

“Roles have been coming my way for a long time now, but I have a huge fan-belt and I didn’t want to disappoint them by doing less significant roles or by singing one song only to vanish. Fans have huge expectations from me and I am going to prove myself in ‘Udta Punjab’."
