IIFA 2024: Samantha Ruth Prabhu Giving A Warm Hug To Kriti Sanon Has Our Hearts

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024 has rolled out the carpet for Bollywood and South celebrities to toast Indian cinema. With major celebrities attending the ceremony in Abu Dhabi, an explosive lineup of performances and Shah Rukh Khan hosting, the excitement is massive. The grand three-day event began on September 27 with IIFA Utsavam. In one of the videos from the ceremony, leading women from the entertainment industry Kriti Sanon and Samantha Ruth Prabhu can be seen greeting each other with a warm hug as they met on the green carpet.

The clip opens with Samantha Ruth Prabhu waiting for her cue at the award ceremony when she notices Kriti Sanon sharing the same carpet. Walking towards each other, the talented duo were all smiles as they also went on to share a warm hug, creating a delightful moment for the onlookers. Later, both Kriti and Samantha burst out in laughter after exchanging a few words, leaving us eager to know what the conversation was about. Samantha Ruth Prabhu made sure to put her best fashion foot forward at the glamorous event in a sparkling mermaid dress. Kriti Sanon too, looked stunning in a dramatic black sheer dress with a braided ponytail.

IIFA 2024 being held at Yas Island will witness performances by stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and veteran actress Rekha. Moreover, SRK is returning as host after a long break. In one of the videos shared by IIFA on social media, Shah Rukh Khan can be heard saying, “Wonderful as always. Loving Abu Dhabi.” When asked what the audience can expect for the awards nights this time around, he said, “Batata hoon, pura programme batata hoon (I’ll tell you the whole programme, come…).”

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to be seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Indian adaptation of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s Citadel. Directed by Raj and DK, the spy thriller also features Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. As for Kriti Sanon, she is set to reunite with Kajol after Dilwale for her maiden production Do Patti. The film will reportedly be released on Netflix in the last week of October.
