Shah Rukh Khan would play a Guide in Jab Harry Met Sejal for the first time in his career and the third song from the film, Safar embarks upon that very theme.
The video starts with the team, Shah Rukh Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Pritam and Irshaad Kamil brainstorming during the conception of 'Safar'.
Pritam is seen giving alternative lyrics as 'Sheher ka raha' but Shah Rukh contradicts saying he's not an urban guy and plays a Guide, so the lyrics changed to 'Safar ka raha'.
While the lyrics highlight the beauty, complexities and romance of being a guide, the video of the song brings to the forefront the camaraderie shared between Shah Rukh Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Pritam and Irshad Kamil.
There is a friendly tiff between Shah rUkh and Pritam who are seen struggling to catch hold of the mic while being mesmerised lip syncing to the lyrics of 'Safar'.
Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ali and Irshad Kamil are seen turning to their smartphones to capture Shah Rukh and Pritam.
'Safar' is a soothing song which highlights Shah Rukh Khan aka Harry's journey. Shah Rukh Khan aka Harry who plays as a Punjabi Harinder Singh Nehra is seen taking to the profession of a tourist guide in Canada.
Penned by Irshad Kamil, the song is composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh. Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jab Harry met Sejal is directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film is all set to release on August 4.
