Kajol and Rani Mukerji's Iconic Durga Puja Pandal Finds a New Address; Here's Everything To Know

Kajol and Rani Mukerji are celebrating Durga Pujo but this time, their pandal has a new address. For years now, Kajol has been hosting her Durga Pujo pandal, popularly known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, in Juhu. Every year, the family would set up their Durga Puja pandal on the grounds of the iconic Tulip Star hotel, formerly known as the iconic Centaur hotel. However, this year, Kajol and Rani will be hosting the Durga Puja pandal near SNDT Women’s University in Juhu.

On Wednesday, Rani Mukerji was seen making her way to the Durga Puja pandal. In a video shared online, Rani was seen walking out of the pandal with her bodyguards. She was seen wearing a gorgeous blue saree. Rani refused to pose for the paparazzi though. Check out the video below:

Why Has North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal Shifted From Tulip Star Hotel?

The Tulip Star Hotel was acquired by Macrotech Developers, popularly known as Lodha Developers. The sea-facing hotel was acquired by the developers after the approval from a bankruptcy court, Mid-Day reported. The hotel will now be replaced by a massive housing project.

Popularly known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, the actresses host grand celebrations to welcome Maa Durga. Last year, during the festivities, the Dilwale actress was snapped seeking the blessing of the Goddess at the Durga Puja pandal along with her son Yug. She was seen clad in a pink saree, while her son wore a white kurta pyjama. Apart from her, several celebs including Rani Mukerji, Jaya Bachchan, Sumona Chakravarti, Ishita Dutta, Vatsal Seth, Tanisha Mukerji and Sharvari also visited the Durga Puja pandal.

On the work front, Kajol will be next seen in the thriller film Do Patti. Helmed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, the thriller film co-starring Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh is set to stream on the OTT giant Netflix on October 25. Meanwhile, Rani won the IIFA Award for her performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. She is yet to announce her next film.
