'Liked The Last Dialogue': Kichcha Sudeep At Gowri Trailer Launch
The film, releasing on August 15, has garnered a lot of attention.

Actor Kichcha Sudeep, on Monday, released the trailer for the upcoming Kannada film Gowri, directed by Indrajit Lankesh. Gowri marks the debut of director Indrajit Lankesh’s son, Samarjit Lankesh, in lead roles. The film, releasing on August 15, has garnered a lot of attention and actor Sudeep has expressed his excitement and support.

At the trailer launch, Kichcha Sudeep opened up about his long-standing friendship with Indrajit Lankesh and revealed that they once played badminton together. “I didn’t know that Indrajit was the son of Lankesh (noted Kannada writer and filmmaker). His competitive spirit was evident even then," Kichcha Sudeep remarked.

He highlighted the evolution of Indrajit and Samarjit and referred to the personal and professional growth they have undergone.

Sudeep playfully compared Samarjit to Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and said, “Someone called Samarjit Lankesh the Hrithik Roshan of our industry, which makes Indrajit Lankesh the Rakesh Roshan. I do not doubt that Samarjit Lankesh will have great success, although I am curious when Indrajit Lankesh will do a film like Koi Mil Gaya. Today is a special day for both father and son."

Talking about the trailer, Sudeep praised the film’s closing dialogue, which he called a powerful statement about generational change. He stressed the importance of the film as a personal project for Indrajit, who has passionately shared his son’s journey with friends and family.

Inspired by true events, Gowri is played by a talented ensemble cast including Akul Balaji, Sihi Kahi Chandru, Mukhya Mantri Chandru, Malathi Sudhir, Sampath Maitreya and Chandugowda. The film’s cinematography is by AJ Shetty and Krishnakumar.
