Nayanthara is a Bollywood fan and her latest Instagram post is proof. The actress, on Monday, took a nostalgic trip down memory lane and watched the iconic film Maine Pyar Kiya.
In the caption, she showered love on the iconic duo Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. The actress posted a still from the film and wrote a note expressing her admiration for the lead pair.
It read, “These two and this film. Just pure love.” In the background, Nayanthara added the song Dil Deewana from the same film.

Interestingly, Nayanthara and Salman Khan previously collaborated on the Telugu film GodFather. The actor played an extended cameo in Chiranjeevi’s film, which is the remake of the superhit Malayalam film Lucifer. Post the film’s success, Nayanthara also thanked Salman Khan in a note wherein she credited him for making GodFather a success. She wrote, “Everyone loves Salman Khan sir and this movie shows why. Thanking you sir for your explosive act and for making this film bigger (sic).”
Nayanthara forayed into the Bollywood industry with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, released last year. The film not only shattered box office records but also garnered positive reviews for the actress as fans praised her chemistry with the star, particularly in the song Chaleya.
Next up for Nayanthara is The Test and Mannangatti Since 1960. She also has the Malayalam film Dear Students opposite Nivin Pauly. Besides, she will also share the screens with the emerging star Kavin Raj in a yet-to-be-titled romantic film, which will be directed by the debutant director Vishnu Edavan. Apart from these projects, the actress has also been grabbing headlines for her role in Yash’s film Toxic. Reportedly, she will be playing the lead actor’s sister in the movie, which was previously expected to be played by Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Earlier in June, a source close to the entertainment portal Pinkvilla revealed that the India schedule of Toxic is currently underway. The source said, “Toxic went on floors with Yash and Nayanthara’s schedule in India. This brief stint at real locations of India will be followed by a marathon schedule in London. Geetu Mohandas has planned a total of 200 days of shoot for Toxic.”
