Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber welcomed their first child recently. They announced the arrival of their baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber, in late August. As the couple embraces their new roles as parents, they have opted not to seek assistance from Hailey’s parents, Stephen and Kennya Baldwin, and are reportedly keeping their newborn son away from them for the time being.
According to a report by Daily Mail, the Rhode founder’s relationship with her parents is “eroding” away. A source told the media outlet, “Hailey’s relationship with her family has been eroding for some time now. She was closer with her mom, but that started to break down when she turned pregnant because she didn’t want to tell her family for months.”
Hailey’s relationship with her parents started to fall apart when her father, Stephen Baldwin, posted on social media requesting people to pray for the couple. Earlier this year, The Usual Suspects actor reposted a video of the Baby singer and wrote, “Christians please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord.”
After this, Hailey had a “blowout” with her family. “Hailey had a blowout with her family when her dad asked for prayers for Hailey and Justin, and she told him that she did not want him meddling in her life. Stephen told Hailey that she wouldn’t even know Justin if it were not for him making the introduction. Hailey was not happy about this at all,” the source further disclosed to the media outlet.
Meanwhile, the insider also dished that another key reason for her deteriorating bond with her family is their political and religious beliefs. Hailey’s father is a born-again Christian and a staunch supporter of Donald Trump. “Her parents are still married and share the same brain. Her dad is a religious zealot, and her mom does whatever her dad says to do,” the insider noted.
Previously, in an interview with W Magazine, the Rhode founder shared that she isn’t that close to her family anymore. “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family. But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories,” said Hailey.
