After rocking the world with her Eras Tour and becoming a billionaire last year, Taylor Swift has officially dethroned Rihanna as the richest female musician! According to Forbes, Swift’s net worth has soared to $1.6 billion. Unlike many stars who rely on brand deals, Taylor’s fortune is built on her music and live performances—$600 million from royalties and touring, plus a music catalogue valued at the same. On the other hand, Taylor Swift reportedly owns real estate worth $125 million.
According to 2023 Pollstar reports, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour created history by becoming the first tour to surpass the $1 billion mark. It crossed the records set by Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. The singer reached this figure in just eight months, after performing 60 shows. During this time, she sold 4.3 million tickets, with an average ticket price of $238.95 (approximately Rs 20,000). As per the reports, she collected $17,321,063 per show. Her tour broke numerous stadium records, including six performances at Los Angeles County’s SoFi Stadium and the highest three-day attendance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium (217,635) and Dallas’ AT&T Stadium (210,607).
On the other hand, it also set single-day attendance records at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, with 71,000 attendees, Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium, where over 73,000 people watched the show live and around 72,000 were present at Seattle’s Lumen Field.
Currently, Taylor Swift is taking a break from her record-breaking Eras Tour and plans to return to the stage in November, starting with Canada. Recently, she made headlines for endorsing current Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race. Right after that, she garnered criticism from opponent leader, Donald Trump.
