TMKOC Maker Asit Kumarr Modi Unable To Contact Gurucharan Singh, Says 'His Phone Is Unreachable'
Gurucharan Singh, who used to play the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC, was missing since April 22 but came back to his house in New Delhi last week.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi is relieved that Gurucharan Singh has returned home. Recently, Modi spoke to an entertainment portal and shared that he is happy that Singh is back now. He revealed that he has been trying to reach out to Gurucharan but his phone isn’t reachable.

“I am very happy that he is back. I send him my best wishes. I am elated for his family, too. We were all very worried, but now we can sigh in relief since he is back,” Asit Modi told Times Now News.

“Ab unke mind mein kya hai woh samajh nahi sakte na (Can’t understand what is going on in his mind). We don’t know what he is feeling. I have been trying to call him, but his phone is unreachable. I want to talk to him. I wish he calls me back so I could know more,” the maker added.

Gurucharan Singh, who used to play the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC, was missing since April 22 but returned to his house in New Delhi last week. Singh was interrogated by Delhi Police officials following which it was discovered that he had left home to be on a religious journey. Police officials said that Gurucharan visited Gurudwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana ever since he was reported “missing” but he later realised that he should return home.

Later, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Gurucharan’s TMKOC co-star Jennifer Mistry also talked about his return and expressed happiness.“That is good news. He was missing for almost a month now. Everyone was worried, from his parents to fans. I knew that he would definitely come back. I also had a feeling that he must be out on some spiritual journey. He is a very spiritual person. I am happy this is the case and there is no trouble. I am sure his parents must be relieved now,” she told us.

The 45-year-old actress admitted that he should have informed his family about his whereabouts. “Of course, I think that he should have informed before leaving but we don’t know what his state of mind must be then,” she said.

For the unversed, Gurcharan Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi — a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. He was one of the popular characters on the show, and also a founding cast member. Gurcharan, however, left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri.
