Trailer Of Malayalam Film, Titled CICADA, Out. Watch It Here

Sreejith Edavana-directorial film CICADA has been making headlines for a long time. Viewers were waiting for more updates of the film. Recently, the makers have surprised the viewers and unveiled the much-awaited trailer for the film. CICADA is touted to be a survival thriller. The upcoming film also stars Rajith Menon, Jaise Jose, and Gayathry Mayura in the key roles. This film marks Edavana’s debut in writing and direction. It is slated to be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil. Its recently released trailer is currently going viral and garnering everyone’s attention.

The trailer, which was released on July 27, 2024, has till now received 2,02,927 views on YouTube. Viewers shared their feedback in the comment section. One of the viewers wrote, “Indeed, exciting. Looking forward. All the very best, Team CICADA." Another one commented, “Super. Sounds so exciting. All the best team." “Super… Sounds so exciting… All the best team," added the third user. While many added a fire and heart emoticon in the comment area.

Earlier, Edavana shared the poster of the film on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Yes, we have started to fly. Here’s the first look. Poster of our movie titled CICADA. A dream come true moment. My first movie as writer/director. @iamrajithcr, @actor_jaisejose, @gayathry_mayoora_official in the lead and introducing a bunch of talented artists and technicians. I need all your love and support."

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas also launched the poster for CICADA. Besides him, about 60 actors from the Malayalam film industry have earlier dropped the poster of the film on their respective social media handles.

Shajith Kumaran is in charge of editing, while Naveen Raj worked as a cinematographer on CICADA. Vivek has written the lyrics. The filming was performed in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Attapadi. This film was produced by Vandana Menon and Gopakumar P under the label Thirna Films and Entertainment.

Sreejith Edavana last worked as the music director for the album Oh My Mandhakini, directed by Rahul Tilak.
