Triptii Dimri Says She's 'Much Closer' To Vicky Kaushal Than Ranbir Kapoor: 'He's A Very Chill, Cool Guy...'

Triptii Dimri became a sensation after the release of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal last year. Although she had already been seen in projects like Qala and Bulbul among others, she became a household name after starring in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial venture. Her second big film was Bad Newz with Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk. Recently, Triptii revealed that she is much closer to Vicky than Ranbir and picked him as her ‘3 am friend’.

At India Today’s Conclave 2024, Triptii was asked to pick her ‘3 am friend’ between Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The actress picked Vicky and said, “I am much closer to him. Because we spent a good amount of time together. We were shooting in Mussoorie and he is a very chill and cool guy. Triptii also shared that Vicky calls the actress “his brother”.

Meanwhile, the actress is on a roll with projects like Dhadak 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in her kitty. Triptii Dimri is facing flak for her dance moves in the song Mere Mehboob from her upcoming film, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The item song features Triptii and Rajkummar Rao with a sensual gaze and is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. However, netizens did not appreciate the steps. In one segment of the song, Triptii lays on the floor and lifts one leg up to move it in a cyclic manner. She then raises her torso and begins to shake. The actress and the choreographer are being brutally trolled for these steps.

Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri will be sharing the screen together for the first time in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s film. The film’s much-awaited trailer was released recently and it has only piqued fans’ interest in the film. The teaser takes us into the 90s and promises that the film will be ‘97% parivarik’ and ‘3% maha parivarik’. As per the trailer, the story revolves around a CD containing an intimate video of a couple that leads to chaos in a small town.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series. The film will be out in theatres on October 11. The anticipation for the film is high after Rajkummar Rao’s performance in the juggernaut, Stree 2, also starring Shraddha Kapoor.
