Urvashi Rautela is getting trolled on social media after a video of her ‘speaking in Tamil’ surfaced online. The actress was attending IIFA 2024 in Abu Dhabi. This year, the organisers honoured the best of South and Hindi films. Urvashi has worked in a couple of South Indian films in the past year and was one of the guests at the ceremony. As she posed for the paparazzi, a cameraman requested her to speak in Tamil.
She oblidged to the request and attempted to speak in the language. However, she blurted out gibberish words and walked away. Several social media users pointed out that she was not speaking. A few also accused her of making fun of the language.
“Where is the Tamil ??” asked a user. “Who said this is Tamil oh god,” added another. “She is not speaking tamil bro,” a third user wrote. “Is she making fun of Tamil people she can’t speak English without her fake accent ,” a comment read. “That is not Tamil language she is just pretending,” a social media user said. “Nonsense this is not Tamil don’t even know what she said and which language it is,” a user said.
Urvashi recently made the headlines for claiming that stars such as Aditya Roy Kapur and Hrithik Roshan are on dating apps. In a conversation with Hauterrfly, the actress claimed to have seen the profiles of Aditya Roy Kapur and Hrithik Roshan. “I am on Raya, but that’s only for friends and not with another kind of perspective. Hrithik is there on Raya; I saw Aditya Roy Kapur, and there are so many other celebrities on the app,” Urvashi said.
On being asked if she has been swiping on Raya, the actress joked, “I already have their numbers. Why would I need to swipe right? Also with the schedule, if I have free time and they have free time, we can talk. Then a lot of people have to pay to send you a direct request.”
