Alia Bhatt has been on a roll with back-to-back commercial and critical success. From Gangubai Kathiawadi to Darlings, Brahmastra to Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the actress has also managed to create a space for herself amid the international audience with Heart Of Stone. The actress will now be seen with Vedang Raina in Jigra.
In a recent chat with GQ, Vedang opened up about working with Alia Bhatt. He said, “She’s the polar opposite of me as an actor, and honestly, it’s so confusing! Watching her, it’s clear she’s brilliant and makes a significant impact. I come in with extensive preparation, setting the mood with my playlist and sitting in a corner, immersing myself in the scene. Then, Alia arrives, and bam! She nails it in the first take, and I’m left amazed.”
Vedang added, “She gets into character instantly, everything is sharp and precise. It’s a testament to her professionalism after spending years in the industry. I’ve learned so much from her—lessons that are hard to quantify but are absorbed subconsciously. It’s incredible how much you can gain from observing someone you admire.”
When asked how it was working with the Archies actor, Alia Bhatt had earlier told News18 Showsha exclusively, “Vedang is just sublime. He plays my brother in the film. I am not going to say much about the relationship we share in the film, but I can definitely say that we had a very seamless, easy-going work relationship.”
It was been widely reported that Vedang and Alia will be playing siblings in the film. When asked about this, Vedang had previously told The Indian Express, “Everyone keeps asking me this, but I am not sure what it is about. It sounds very exciting to play a sibling to Alia Bhatt.”
Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is produced by Karan Johar. Alia Bhatt is also co-producing the film along with Karan.
