We often hear about temples dedicated to South cinema superstars and how their admirers can go to any extent to get a glimpse of their favourite actor. Today, take a look at an actor who adores his fans and has gone above and beyond to show his appreciation for them.
The actor is none other than Jr NTR, a star in the South, and after the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR, he earned the title of pan-India star. The actor’s fans love his on-screen persona. But his off-screen humility is also worshipped by his followers.
According to reports, a large number of Jr NTR fans attended Baadshah’s song launch event in 2013. The overenthusiastic crowd led to a stampede in which a fan died. This incident impacted Jr NTR. He met the family of the deceased fan, handed them Rs 5 lakh, and promised to look after them. It’s been 11 years, and he’s still caring for his deceased fan’s family.
Another surprising event took place in 2004 during the film Andhrawala’s music launch event in 2004. The event was attended by 10 lakh people. Everyone was surprised to see the crowd, as no such arrangement was made, and the government had to come forward and run nine special trains, especially for the fans.
On the one hand, celebrities keep their weddings private or invite just close friends and family. Reportedly, his wedding was attended by a total of 15,000 guests, out of which 12,000 of them were his fans.
Jr NTR is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Devara: Part 1. Koratala Siva wrote and directed this upcoming Telugu-language action drama film. Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts collaborated on its production.
The film stars NT Rama Rao Jr in the title role, with Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor (in her Telugu debut), Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain. Devara: Part 1 is set to hit theatres on September 27.
