Ranbir Kapoor is currently promoting his upcoming movie Animal. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the trailer of the film was recently released which left everyone super excited for the film. Recently, director Sandeep Vanga also talked about his upcoming directorial and expressed that Ranbir has done a wonderful job in the movie. He argued that Ranbir’s performance in Animal makes him feel like touching the actor’s feet.
“Ranbir might be younger to me but when I see him performing, I feel like touching his feet and taking his blessings. I haven’t seen anyone with so much patience,” Vanga said at Animal’s pre-release event in Hyderabad on Monday, November 27.
Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna and marks her first film with Ranbir. The movie also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles. It was recently revealed that CBFC granted an ‘A’ certificate to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer and its runtime is 3 hours and 21 minutes. At a press conference in Bengaluru, Ranbir was asked about the lengthy runtime of Animal when he said, “We are not releasing a film this long because we are arrogant about it. We felt that the story required this amount of time to reach the audience in the best way possible.”
“All of us have seen the cut of this film which was 3 hours, 49 minutes, and that also held. Wo bhi entertaining tha. But Sandeep has worked very hard to bring the length down. Because you cannot stretch it that much also. But hope that the audience doesn’t get panicked by the length. Just come and experience cinema at its best,” the actor added.
Later, Sandeep also talked about Animal’s runtime in an interview with The Hindu and explained, “The first cut of Animal was 3 hours 45 or 46 minutes. I chopped till 3:21. I have seen the film multiple times and it is an engaging film. Ranbir is a great performer and will not let the audience relax for a second.”
Animal will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.
